Talk by Dr. V. G. Parale on Recent Advances in Aerogel research (14 February, 2024)

Department of Physics, Shivaji University, organized a lecture titled "Recent advances in Aerogel research", shedding light on the promising advancements in aerogel materials. Dr. V. G. Parale, a Research Professor from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, spearheaded this enlightening discourse. The event commenced with an introduction by Sonkawade, who introduced both the program and the speaker, Dr. V. G. Parale. Dr. Parale, a luminary in the field, was honored with a shawl and shrifal as a gesture of appreciation. Dr. Parale's address delved into the remarkable journey of aerogel research, tracing its origins and evolution. He attributed the genesis of aerogel research in India to Dr. A. V. Rao, under whose guidance it first took root in the Physics department of Shivaji University.
