Talk by Prof. (Dr.) M. M. Salunkhe on Challenging the Axiom of Impossibility (24 January, 2024)

Recently, luminaries gathered at Shivaji University for the thought provoking guest lecture "Challenge the Axiom of Impossibility," organized by the Department of Physics. Among the speakers was Dr. M. M. Salunkhe, Former VC, SUK.

The event commenced with an introduction by Prof. R. G. Sonakawade, setting the stage for an intellectually stimulating discourse. Dr. Salunkhe, adorned with a shawl and shrifal in recognition of his contributions, embarked on unraveling the mysteries of invisible technology. Drawing inspiration from Mark Twain's timeless wisdom, he urged the audience to defy conventional wisdom and pave new paths toward progress.

Moreover, Dr. Salunkhe shed light on India's technological prowess, boasting the largest bandwidth capacity and infrastructure globally. Despite challenges such as widespread illiteracy, he accentuated the nation's abundant human resources and unwavering commitment to knowledge and innovation.

The discourse didn't shy away from addressing pressing environmental concerns, cautioning against the reckless exploitation of Earth's resources. Dr. Salunkhe invoked the wisdom of ancient Indian thinkers and philosophers, urging students to cultivate a spirit of creativity and critical thinking. From Homi Jahangir Bhabha to Leonardo da Vinci, he exemplified the transformative power of visionary minds.

The event culminated in a spirited question and answer session, showcasing the audience's enthusiasm and engagement. Dr. A. R. Patil extended gratitude to all participants for their contributions.
