PM-USHA Sponsored National Workshop on Density Functional Theory (DFT) for Material Scientists 2026 (NWDFTMS-2026) (March 02, 2026)

The PM-USHA Sponsored National Workshop on Density Functional Theory (DFT) for Material Scientists 2026 (NWDFTMS-2026) was successfully organized on Monday, March 02, 2026. The one-day comprehensive workshop aimed to equip researchers, academicians, and material scientists with advanced knowledge in computational materials science. The event commenced in the morning with a registration and breakfast networking session, followed by the formal Inauguration Function from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, which set a collaborative and academic tone for the day's proceedings.

The academic schedule was divided into four highly engaging sessions. Session I was led by Dr. Nikhil Aggarwal from the Centre for Advanced Computational Research (CACR), New Delhi, who established the core foundational concepts of DFT. Following this, Session II was conducted by Prof. Prashant Singh from Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College, New Delhi. Prof. Singh expanded on the morning's discourse, likely delving into specific material science applications and theoretical frameworks before the attendees broke for brunch at 2:00 pm.

The afternoon proceedings resumed with Session III, featuring a second presentation by Dr. Nikhil Aggarwal, allowing for a deeper dive into advanced computational techniques and complex modeling scenarios. The workshop concluded with Session IV, delivered by Ms. Ayushi Prajapat, also from ARSD College, who guided the participants through the final technical discourse of the day. Overall, the workshop successfully met its objectives, providing a robust platform for learning and discussion, and concluding at 6:00 pm with highly positive feedback from the participating material scientists.
