The
Energy Club, Department of Physics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur successfully
organized a “Hands-on Workshop on Making of LED Strip” on 12 May 2026 from
12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM in the Department of Physics.
The
workshop was conducted by Dr. Raviraja Patil, who served as the Resource Person
for the programme. The event was organized with the objective of providing
practical knowledge and hands-on experience regarding LED strip making, circuit
assembly, and energy-efficient lighting applications.
The
programme commenced with a welcome and introduction by the coordinator Dr. S.
S. Patil of the Energy Club. Dr. Raviraja Patil was formally introduced to the
participants. During the session, the resource person explained the basic
concepts of LED technology, components used in LED strips, circuit connections,
assembly methods, and practical applications.
A
live demonstration of LED strip making was conducted, followed by an
interactive hands-on session in which students actively participated and
assembled LED strips under expert guidance. The workshop also included
troubleshooting techniques and discussion on energy-saving applications of LED
systems.
Students
and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the programme. The
workshop proved to be highly informative, practical, and beneficial for
enhancing technical skills and awareness regarding energy-efficient
technologies.
The
programme concluded with an interactive question-answer session followed by a
vote of thanks. The Energy Club expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Raviraja
Patil for his valuable guidance and contribution towards the successful conduct
of the workshop.
